Update Governance

Multisig and Board control for sovereign updates.

Update Governance: Multisig & Board Control

In a non-SaaS deployment, "Updates" represent a significant supply-chain risk. ABS Core™ provides a decentralized governance model for managing system upgrades.

Update Approval Flow

1. The Multisig Vaccine

Every system-wide change (Kernel update, Global Policy update) requires a m-of-n multisig approval by designated customer stewards.

  • Implementation: Updates are staged in a "Pending" block.
  • Activation: The binary hash of the new WASM kernel must be signed by the stewards' private keys before the edge nodes will perform the hotswap.

2. The Governance Board

Strategic changes to the "Rules of Engagement" (e.g., radical changes to financial risk thresholds) are governed by a Deterministic Board Protocol.

  • Voting: Policy changes are submitted as PRs to the Sovereign Repo.
  • Automated Validation: The "Infra_Governor" runs a 1-hour conflict simulation before allowing the vote to proceed.

Self-Sovereign Versions

Acquirers and Licensees have 100% control over their versioning. ABS Core™ does not enforce "Force-Updates".

  • LTS Support: We provide a 5-year maintenance commitment for audited IP forks.
  • Auditable Delta: Every update includes a verifiable diff of the Rust source code.
